Nuria Alvarez Lombardero

Nuria Alvarez Lombardero
Nuria studied Architecture at ETSA Madrid and Urbanism at the Architectural Association AA. She is co-director of the London-Seville-based office Canales & Lombardero since 2003 and has previously worked for Machado and Silvetti Associates in Boston. She has taught at the University of Cambridge, Bartlett University College of London, TEC Monterrey, and the University of Seville, at the moment teaching a Diploma design studio at the Architectural Association. She has previously collaborated with Neutra Magazine as an editorial board and writing for the web-magazine La Ciudad Viva. After working as a researcher in Harvard University, the University of Cambridge and the AA, she finished her PhD on the dissolution of boundaries traced by modern urban planning. She has published different articles in international magazines, such as RA, Metalocus and Archithese and the books Politics of Fabrication (ViBok 2017) and Arquitectas: Redefining the Practice (Recolectores Urbanos), being the latter awarded in the XIII Spanish Bienal of Urbanism and Architecture.
