Lecture/Conferencia en Master ETSA Sevilla

La semana pasada , el Jueves 1 de Marzo, presenté mi trabajo de Tesis "Mujeres en la ciudad" en el Máster Oficial en Ciudad y Arquitectura Sostenibles (2011-12)de la Universidad de Sevilla. La conferencia se centro en desvelar cuales on los aspectos de nuestro espacio publico que limitan la experiencia de la mujer en ellos.

Last week Thursday 1st if March I presented my PhD thesis "Women in the Citty" in the Master City and Sustainable Architecture (2011-12) in the University of Seville. The conference was focus on revealing aspects of our cities public space that limit the experience of women in them.

Mi ultimo articulo para La Ciudad Viva,"Urbanismo colectivo intercultural" investiga el proceso de proyecto y construccion, y posterior uso de la Plaza Gillett en el barrio Dalston de Londres donde la participacion colectiva intercultural tiene un papel fundamental en los procesos de planemaiento, diseno y activacion del espacio publico. My last article for La Ciudad Viva, "Intercultural collective urbanism" investigates the design process and construction, and subsequent use of Gillett Square in Dalston district of London where the intercultural collective participation has a key role in its planning, design process and activation processes of public space. Exhibition in FIU Miami

Esta semana se inaugura la exposicion "Politics of Fabrication: Challenging Political Expression in Little Havana" en el Miami Beach Urban studio de la Universidad Internacional de Florida, Miami (420 Licoln Road, suite 440, Miami Beach). En ella se presneta el trabajo que realizamos en la Architectural Association dentro de nuestra unidad de diseno. La exposicion permanecera abierta desde el 2 de Febrero al 3 de Marzo.

This week the exhibition "Politics of Fabrication: Challenging Political Expression in Little Havana" in the Miami Beach Urban Studio (420 Lincoln Rd, Suite 440, Miami Beach) of the School of Architecture of Florida International University, Miami, Florida, will be opened. There we will show the work we are doing in the Unit at the Architectural Association. the exhibition will continue open from the 13 of February to the 3rd of March.

Ascensor Magazine

La ultima contribucion que he hecho ha sido un trabajo fotografico y una referencia escrita al tema de "Espacio y Afecto" para la revista portuguesa  de Arte Ascensor. Este nuemro estaba organizado por la doctora arquitecta Eliana Sousa Santos. podeis encontrar la revista en tiendas especializadas en arte en Portugal o en el siguiente link.

Tercer articulo en la Ciudad Viva

Acabo de terminar mi tercer articulo para La Ciudad Viva,"Violencia de Género, Urbanismo y Vivienda", en el que indago brevemente sobre la posibles relaciones patriarcales en la configuración espacial que vivimos diariamente en nuestras ciudades y su posible relacion con la violencia contra la mujer en el hogar domestico. I have just finished my third article for La Ciudad Viva magazine, "Domestic Violence, Housing and Urbanism".In this article I briefly inquire about possible relationships in the spatial configuration we live everyday in our cities and its posible relationship with violent attacks against women in the domestic space. Lecture/Conferencia en medios de difusion para la Arquitectura Critica

El pasado Miercoles 18 de Enero hice una exposicion en la Universidad de Sevilla sobre los posibles medios de difusion para la critica de arquitectura tanto en la red como a traves de la publicacion escrita. La conferencia "Arquitectura Critica en el entorno 2.0. Medios de expresion en la red: Herramientas 2.0."expuso brevemente mi trabajo como ensayista, arquitecta y academica que he difundido en la red y diversas publicaciones.

Last Wednesday  18th of January 18 I lectured in the University of Seville on the possible media to diffuse critical work in Architecture both in the network and written publications. The conference "Critical Architecture in the 2.0 environment. Means of expression on Internet: Tools 2.0." briefly described my work as an essayist, architect and academic that I have posted on the net and various publications.

Workshop Immediate Governance in Plymouth University

Esta semana he realizado un workshop con los alumnos de MArch en la Facultad de Aquitectura de la Universidad de Plymouth sobre el trabajo que hacemos desde Politics of Fabrication. Organizado en colaboracion con el tutor Krzysztof Nawratek el workshop proponia  repensar aquellos elementos que usamos a diario a los que no damos importancia y que tiene carga politica en su definicion. Especial gracias a Krzysztof Nawratek y Bob Brown, director de la escuela, por invitarnos.

This week I did a workshop with MArch students at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Plymouth related to the work we do from Politics of Fabrication. Organized in collaboration with the  MArch lecturer Krzysztof Nawratek, the workshop proposed to rethink those elements we use in our everyday live that we take for granted and hold a political charge in their definicion.Many thanks to Krzysztof Nawratek and Bob Brown, director of the School, for inviting us.
