Canales & Lombardero in Shanghai

La oficina Canales y Lombardero ha visitado Shanghai como parte de la XII Bienal de Arte 2018. Su trabajo ha sido expuesto en la Universidad de Tonji dentro de la exposición Arquitecturas Dispuestas. Asimismo ha presentado su trabajo en ROCA Gallery Shanghai.

Canales and Lombardero office has visited Shanghai as part of the XII Shanghai Bienal of Art 2018. C&L work has been exhibited at the University of Tonji within the exhibition Arquitecturas Dispuestas. Francisco and Nuria has also presented C&L work at ROCA Gallery Shanghai.

Nuevo artículo "La mujer arquitecta como sujeto de una necesaria redefinición de la práctica profesional desde la perspectiva española”que tan amablemente han publicado en la revista Derq de la Universidad de los Andes junto a otros contenidos en el número 20. Mujeres en Arquitectura. Tengo el placer de estar junto a otros investigadores que han elaborado trabajos muy interesantes sobre la mujer en la arquitectura. Artíuclo compartido en revista ESTOA

Publicado en la revista ESTOA el nuevo artículo "Lo político en el reciente urbanismo de acciones colectivas en el espacio público y sus implicaciones en algunos contextos latinoamericanos” escrito en colaboración con Francisco González de Canales Ruiz. En él hablamos sobre aquellos trabajos en Latinoamérica que tiene relación con nuestra iniciativa Politics of Fabrication sobre construcción colectiva en el espacio público. 

New article "The Political in the Recent Urbanism of Collective Actions in the Public Space and its Implications in some Latin American Contexts" written in collaboration with Francisco González de Canales Ruiz has been published in the ESTOA magazine. Here we establish a parallel between those works in Latin america and our initiative Politics of Fabrication  on collective construction in the public space.

Articulo en WIT Transactions on Ecology and the Environment

Se publica en la revista WIT Transactions on Ecology and the Environment Vol 223 el artículo "Cultural Conflict and Public Space: A New Conceptualization" que he escrito en colaboración con Francisco González de Canales Ruiz. En él hablamos el conflicto cultural en el espacio público desde una nueva perspectiva que exploramos desde la iniciativa Politics of Fabrication.

The article "Cultural Conflict and Public Space: A New Conceptualization" that I have written in collaboration with Francisco González de Canales Ruiz has been published in the WIT magazine Transactions on Ecology and the Environment Vol 223. In this text we develop an argument on the cultural conflict in the public space from a new perspective that we explored from the Politics of Fabrication initiative.

Genero y política urbana - Gender and Urban Policy

Acaba de publicarse el libro Género y política urbana. Arquitectura y urbanismo desde la perspectiva de género publicado por la Generalitat Valenciana y el Institut Valencià de l´Edificació en el que ahonda en el reto de reformular nuestra relación con la ciudad tras la oportunidad que se ha abierto en la actualidad a través del contexto político y de renovación legislativa en la Comunitat Valenciana. Este libro aprovecha esta ocasión  para incorporar la perspectiva de género a estos proyectos legislativos y revisar ciertos aspectos de las leyes en vigor que afectan directa o indirectamente a la política urbana. Mi contribución forma parte de este libro junto a otras aportaciones desde otras disciplinas. Gracias a Carolina Mateo por incluirme en esta iniciativa.

The book Gender and Urban Policy. Architecture and urbanism from a gender perspective has just been published. by the Generalitat Valenciana and the Institut Valencià de l'Edificació. The book delves into the challenge of reformulating our relationship with the city after the opportunity that has been opened today through the political context and of legislative renewal in the Comunitat Valenciana. This book takes this opportunity to incorporate the gender perspective into these legislative projects and review certain aspects of existing laws that directly or indirectly affect urban policy. My contribution is part of this book along with other contributions from other disciplines. Thanks to Carolina Mateo for including me in this initiative. MORE: III International Conference on Gender and Architecture

Los dias 26, 27 y 28 de Enero de 2017 tiene lugar la 3ra Conferencia en Genero y Arquitectura MORE en la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Florencia UNIFI, en el que he tenido el placer de participar como Comité Científico. En esta edición presentaré brevemente el trabajo iniciado en Sevilla hace tres años y que se ha resumido en el libro "Arquitectas. Redefiniendo la profesión". Nos vemos!

MORE, the 3rd International Conference on Gender and Architecture  will take place the 26, 27 and 28th of January in the School of Architecture at the University of Florence Unifi. A minor Architecture

Desde mañana Miércoles 18  hasta el 14 de Febrero se expone nuestro trabajo en la Galería  Espacio Valverde de Madrid, junto al trabajo de muchos otros arquitectos que como nosotros trabajan a través  de obras de menor tamaño.

From tomorrow 18th of January till the 14th February our work will be exhibited in Galería Espacio Valverde in Madrid with a whole group of architects who are working through minor projects.
